About the role
We are looking for an experienced Study Manager to lead the development of multiple potential capital projects through the various stage gates from study to sanctioned project and potential project delivery. You will use project management best practices to validate viability and its alignment with the longer term business plan.
This role is a great opportunity to think strategically and develop key projects for the business. By thinking creatively you and key stakeholders will shape the projects in early stages to maximize business value. Drawing upon your past experiences, manage resources, budgets, changes, and risks for a successful business investment. Working a 5 days on, 2 off roster and reporting to the Manager - Project Delivery, Processing Operations you will be:
Contributing to the continuous improvement while using capital project processes, practices and tools.
Collaborating with the team and key stakeholders to support the development, evaluation and progression of high value projects.
Collaborating with key stakeholders to drive a culture of collaboration, participation and improvement.
Bachelor of Engineering and Professional Engineer designation (desired)
Minimum of 10 years leadership experience
Formal Project Management and leadership training and experience
Demonstrated communication skills and the ability to grow relationships with internal customers, technologists, engineers and project managers.
Experience leading a team in the development of projects utilizing sound project and business management practices
It will also be beneficial if you have:
Experience in mineral and mining processing.

The Iron Ore Company of Canada (IOC) is a leading Canadian producer of iron ore concentrate and iron ore pellets that serves customers worldwide. Base Salary (Annual) USD 116k - 150k
