Porter Corp., a leading manufacturer of “Open Air Steel Structures”, is looking for a dynamic individual to help develop new markets and customers for its products and services within the CEAS+ division (www.ceasplus.com). The successful candidate will be asked to develop persuasive approaches that will convince potential customers to do business with the company. He/she must develop rapport with new clients, provide support that will improve business relationships and set targets for sales. While the primary responsibility is to develop the pipeline of new business into the company, this role will also include the requirement to grow and retain existing customers by presenting new solutions and services to clients. This role requires thorough knowledge of the market, the solutions/services the company can provide, and of the company’s competitors.
Develop approaches/programs/campaigns using company unique value propositions that meet customer needs, concerns or objectives.
Prospect for new potential customers and turn into incremental business.
Performs market research and analysis that keep the company updated on market shifts or trends.
Present and consult with business leaders on business trends with the goal of developing new products/services and channels that will increase sales.
Track and report activity on customers and help to close deals to meet these targets.
Work with a network of sales reps and dealers in a territory.
Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met by the team.
Submit weekly/monthly progress reports against company goals.
Teach/mentor outside sales team on “how to” present and use marketing tools for best customer impact.
Attend industry trade shows and develop leads.
Ensure that sales data is accurately entered and managed within company’s CRM system.
Provide on-going technical expertise, guidance and education to architects and designers through regular calls, presentations and through active participation in key networking events.
Meet and exceed financial performance goals as provided by Director of Sales & Marketing.
Aptitude: Leader, Self-starter, ability to work well both individually and as part of a team, self-starter and strong organizational skills.
Open and collaborative style; must be comfortable working in an environment where ideas are shared and often challenged.
Energetic, relatable, and dynamic communicator (verbal, nonverbal, written)
Timely submission of all required documentation
5+ yrs. working experience in outside sales/business development
3+ yrs. working experience in the Architectural sales or industry experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Excel required
Working knowledge of CRM tools preferred
Ability to collaborate and work with internal and external teams
Ability to provide high energy and compelling presentations
Travel – 50%
