OB DESCRIPTION:
Position Purpose

Responsible for the overall planning, organizing, execution and integration of all IT/Software Development functions and strategy for the company. Serves as subject matter expert for overall technology in a variety of settings and serves as strategic partner as it pertains to application of technology cross-functionally (ie, Accounting, Finance, Operations). This position reports to the Vice President of Accounting and Systems.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Lead a team of diverse staff including Software Developers/Engineers, System Administrators, Network Engineers and End User Support Specialists. Currently 4 direct reports. 3 developers and one network architect. In addition, the position will manage consultants supporting with help desk support.
Oversee the 3 developers work to move the existing proprietary business tools from unsupported Foxpro to C#.net. Refine project plan, and propose solutions to plan slippage.
Get involved in the NAV ERP system implementation. Understand core business processes, system capabilities and configurations. Also insure the interfaces between the proprietary system and NAV have been properly configured.
Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, telephones, software applications, and peripherals. This includes the help desk consultant activity, which supports Golden, and sites in OH and CA. Lead evaluation and recommendation for all hardware and software purchases.
Create overall global IT strategy for remote/foreign locations. Ensure the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.
Establish and maintain company wide security policies and procedures, covering IT and other electronic media.
Manage financial aspects of the IT Division, including purchasing, budgeting, and budget review.
Negotiate and administer vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements.
Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
Set vision and strategy for enabling a highly efficient workforce, including evaluating tools for productivity such as communication tools and data sharing.
Analyze complex business needs presented by the user community and/or clients and recommends technical solutions.
Represents the IT function at company meetings when appropriate.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems, Master’s degree a plus.
10+ years’ experience with custom application development and/or customizations to ERP systems.
Has implemented a new ERP system within the last 7 years.
Has worked with a data warehouse, and understands data base architecture.
Experience in network administration, computer information systems or systems administration in a multi office environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years direct leadership experience.
Technical expertise including, but not limited to, knowledge of n-tier applications development, C#, .NET, RESTful, SQL, data modelling, ORMs.
Operational expertise in VMWare (vCenter 6.5), Cisco networking (ASA, Nexus and Catalyst), SAN (Nimble and Equallogic), Veeam Backup and Replication, Windows Server and MPLS.
Proven ability to lead a team of technical staff, to work with the executive leadership effectively, and to manage multiple concurrent projects. Can convey technical information to non-technical people.
Proven ability to actively drive the development life-cycle from requirements analysis, feasibility estimates, design, code, documentation, testing, implementation and support.
Ability to work with internal customers to gather business processes and project requirements.
Efficiently evaluates business needs, objectives and goals and aligns them to suggest and implement technology and procedures to streamline all internal operations. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong time management skills, ability to meet deadlines, to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products, and to take initiative in the development and completion of projects.
Strong project management and organizational skills
Analytical and problem solving skills for design, creation and testing of systems.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Position requires meeting deadlines and must also deal with a wide variety of people on various issues.
