JOB TITLE: SALES MANAGER
POSITION STATUS: FULL-TIME, EXEMPT
REPORTS TO: VICE PRESIDENT
Primarily responsible, with input from the management team, for generating all company forecasts for sales dollars, units, market share and margin.Also responsible for establishing sales targets for individual members of the sales team.
Responsible for meeting or exceeding all corporate sales goals and for ensuring that the sales staff meets their individual sales targets.
Develop yearly business plans for all Sales and Marketing related activities
Generate fiscally responsible budgets that support corporate objectives and address annual sales administrative business plans
Determine departmental staffing levels. Recruit, select, hire and manage or direct all sales departmental personnel
Provide leadership, creative input a necessary resources sufficient to bring forth effective corporate advertising and promotional programs
Provide market intelligence in order to support and facilitates near term business decisions and long term strategic planning
Either directly or through others, provide all necessary sales reports and meaningful and required statistical and measurable data
Provide sales and technical assistance to sales personnel to insure maximum sales performance as well as develop action plans to target new markets and customers
As required, train, develop and support sales personnel and evaluate performance and development of the sales staff
Insure that all sales staff meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals and closes
Work with Sales Applications Engineers and principals to develop machinery demonstrations that highlight capability features and benefits
Manage all aspects of sales order administration
Maintain positive and professional business relationships with customers and principals
Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in the sales of CNC Lathes and CNC Mills - Knowledge of CNC Applications is highly recommended.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college/university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Machine Tool experience preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in sales management
Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams
