Maschmeyer Concrete Company is seeking a dedicated Quality Control-Mix Design Specialist in our Central Florida Division. Prior knowledge in the ready-mix concrete or construction industry is preferred.
The Mix Design Specialist will create Commercial and FDOT project concrete mix design submittals based on a thorough review of all relevant project specifications and within the concrete mix design framework provided by the Director of Technical Services. The Mix Design Specialist will:
Offer optimized performance mix designs to complement the prescriptive specification mix designs, wherever possible.
Have a thorough understanding of ACI and FDOT concrete design procedures and requirements.
Mix Submittal Practices:
Timing- The industry standard for turning around a submittal is approximately 4 days/96 hours to 5 days/120 hours. It is our goal to return these mix submittals within 2 to 3 days/48 to 72 hours. In unique situations, this time may be less than 24 hours/1day.
New mix designs and codes
When required by project specifications, the Mix design Specialist will enter into Command QC new mix designs and mix codes within the mix design framework and guidance provided by the Director of Technical Services.
FDOT. The Mix Design Specialist maintains all necessary FDOT certifications in support of the ACI requirements for Lab Level 2.
ACI. The Mix Design Specialist maintains ACI Lab Level I certifications, which includes ACI Concrete Field Technician, ACI Strength testing and ACI Aggregate level 1 certifications, and ACI Lab Level 2, concrete mix design.
