We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to develop and execute exploratory tests as well as automated tests in order to ensure product quality.
As a QA Engineer you will estimate, plan, and coordinate testing activities. You will also ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved in our defect-tracking system.

Key Responsibilities

Designing and executing behaviour-driven development (BDD) automated tests using Cucumber.
Providing QA metrics and associated management information to project stakeholders.
Maintaining automated test suites, refactoring the framework to keep it clean and efficient.
Guiding other team members and teams in the use of BDD processes and automated test tools.


BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
Working within an agile software development environment
Working within a DevOps environment
Experience of working within a BDD environment
Experience of Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD)
Experience of developing acceptance tests, regression test suites and creating and optimising multiple suites to meet the needs of rapid deployment scrum teams
Experience of domain-driven design and Object-Orientated Analysis
Working with Cucumber test framework and designing tests in features, scenarios and steps
Use of simple domain-specific language to express user behaviour and expected outcomes
Subject Matter Expert (SME) in designing and executing automated tests via the Cucumber framework
Ability to participate effectively in estimation, planning, cost of quality and quality risk analysis
Detailed understanding of agile software development lifecycles, defect management, patching and software release processes
Ability quickly to understand complex business processes and systems
Effectively communicate testing activities and findings in oral and written formats
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Inclined to work as part of a highly-motivated and innovative team and contribute to the business, technical and operational goals of the organisation
Experience of Quality Assurance (QA) and testing methods
Experience using tools such as JIRA, Confluence and Chef
