Reporting to the Chief Product Officer (CPO), you will use analytics tools to understand and measure precisely how our products are used. This position is critical to our long-term growth and expansion as the market leaders. You must have analytical, commercial and entrepreneurial experience.
Key Objectives of the Role
Generate metrics and usage data that will be used by Product Owners and the Product Marketing team to assist in driving our product forwards.
Work with Products Owners and Marketing to agree the key KPIs and metrics that we need to establish.
Update analytics as our products change and consider how a feature will affect our metrics before it is released.
Have a deep understanding of how our data collection and reporting works, and the ability to make updates to this as our need for usage metrics is refined.
Use analytics to see what is currently happening, make a change and see what effect the change has so that we have early feedback on product changes.
Build 'league tables' that compare efficiency across customers, in particular the Public Sector customers.
Technical Capabilities / Skills and Experience Required for the Role
Similar role within a product-focused software development organization
Experience of Google Analytics and other related tools
Usage of a variety of techniques for requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation and validation
Business process modeling and redesign
Although not required, prior software/database development experience would be advantageous; however, willingness to know about the systems is required.
This role will suit a candidate with experience of product management, including roadmap development and release management.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently or in teams, taking ownership for managing small pieces of work autonomously, ability to think on their feet and make key decisions/compromises quickly within a fast-paced agile scrum environment.
They will be an experienced, practical, organized, meticulous, self-starting commercial analyst with excellent data presentation skills, solid understanding of core analytics tools and various statistical tools, as well as programming languages.
